Dune Drifter Giveback Project

Dune Drifter is gifting $5 from every purchase to a family in the community facing adversity.

We will focus our attention on one family for a 6 month period and will share their story with you here. I have an app installed on my site so that the $5 will automatically be calculated at every purchase and delivered to the family.

We appreciate every purchase and your willingness to be a part of this project to help make some small difference to our chosen families.

Every time we introduce a new family we will update our page so you know who you are helping. Thank you for your positive impact on our community. 

The Lewis Family 

Jack Lewis was diagnosed just over 2 years ago with a rare form of brain and spinal cancer -  stage 4. Surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy treatments, whilst the family had been told to say goodbye to Jack multiple times, he fought on. With 2 young children Freddy and Goldie and his wife Shanny by his side, their lives were turned upside down, with lengthy hospital stays and a  deteriorating Jack as he lost his ability to walk properly and his vision declined.

The emotional battle Shanny faced as she cared for Jack through his fight, whilst solo parenting frequently, was nothing short of miraculous.

Jack sadly lost his battle with cancer in October, and has left his  family and community devastated. At 36 years old, he has been taken far too soon and the family he has left behind have a new battle on their hands in moving forward emotionally, physically and financially with this heartache.

I want to personally thank each and every one of you who have  purchased a Dune Drifter item, for giving back to this very special family.
